This dressing is a creamy vegan alternative to Caesar salad dressing, perfect in a pita sandwich or on rice, noodles, and salads. Keeps, refrigerated, for up to two weeks.
1/2 cup (125 mL) extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup (60 mL) raw apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp (30 mL) tamari
3 Tbsp (45 mL) tahini
1 small clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Blend all ingredients together.
Each 1 Tbsp (15 mL) serving contains: 75 calories; 1 g protein; 8 g total fat (1 g sat. fat, 0 g trans fat); 1 g carbohydrates; 0.2 g fibre; 117 mg sodium
