If blended drinks such as margaritas are your thing, why not try this colourful, nutrient-rich, tasty alternative? It’s great for Sunday brunches or after-work drinks with friends.
1 small honeydew melon
1/2 cup (125 mL) seedless green grapes
1 cup (250 mL) rooibos tea, brewed and chilled
1/2 cup (125 mL) freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup (125 mL) honey
2 cups (500 mL) sparkling water
Cut melon in half, scoop out seeds, peel, and cut into 1-in (2.5-cm) cubes. Wash grapes well. Freeze melon and grapes for one hour. Combine frozen melon and grapes with lime juice and honey in a blender. Puree until smooth, adding sparkling water as needed. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
