5 large mangoes
7 medium tomatoes
1 medium onion
1 bunch cilantro
1 Tbsp (15 ml) fresh basil, finely chopped
1 Tbsp (15 ml) tamari sauce
1/2 tsp (2 ml) spicy herbal salt (such as Herbamare)
2 jalapeno peppers (optional) or dash of cayenne pepper
Chop all ingredients and place in a large salad bowl. Mix thoroughly and chill for at least one hour; ingredients should have enough time to blend together. Before serving, season to taste with tamari or herbal salt.
