A cool and refreshing summer beverage to keep you out of a hot kitchen. It’s full of friendly bacteria and helps prevent dehydration. Mint can be used as a digestive tonic and makes a fresh, clean addition to any beverage.

2 3/4 cups (700 mL) buttermilk
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) sparkling water
1 Tbsp (15 mL) fresh-squeezed lime juice
1/2 Tbsp (7.5 mL) mixed herbs like mint, oregano, basil–fresh or dried
pinch salt

Stir or mix together all ingredients. Let sit in fridge for one to two hours so all the flavors incorporate. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint and enjoy! Makes one liter.
