Bioriginal receives GMP site licence
Bioriginal Food and Science Corp. has received a site licence from the Natural Health Products Directorate, a division of Health Canada, as of June 4, 2004. The company is one of the first in the country to be granted the licence.
Bioriginal, a leading supplier of essential fatty acids (EFAs), was already manufacturing in compliance with the more stringent pharmaceutical GMPs, so the NHP licence was simple to obtain. It certifies that Bioriginal manufactures, packages, and labels products according to GMP.
"Our early certification assures our customers of the safety and security of Bioriginal products. It also benefits those who sell our products in Canada by providing the information needed to apply for Natural Health Product numbers (NPNs)," states Barry Skorobohach, quality manager at Bioriginal.
