Green Drinks

To immediately boost overall wellness and mental performance, try green food drinks and bask in the health benefits of this power beverage.

There are many practical dietary breakthroughs you can use to keep your 100 trillion cells efficiently repaired, restored, and rejuvenated. To immediately boost your vitality, overall wellness, and mental performance, try green food drinks.

Medical researchers acknowledge the importance of food to either support or inhibit cellular functions and vital energy production. Healthy food positively boosts energy, mood, and memory.

One way to increase energy and vitality naturally is by consuming green food drinks. They prevent the oxidation of energycells by improving antioxidant status in the blood and promote an alkaline, energy-producing environment.

Increased Energy

A double-blind, placebo-controlled study was reported in the Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice and Research (2004), involving 105 healthy women. Subjects who received a green drink daily for three months had signifi cant improvements in energy versus those women who received a placebo. Statistical trends were observed for improvement in mental health, vitality, well-being, and overall health among the green drink users.

Significant ORAC Values

Some green drinks have been shown to have an oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) score three times that of blueberries, a well-known antioxidant-rich food. This high ORAC score means that green drinks play an important role in reducing oxidative stress and preventing chronic disease.

An Akalizing Environment

A clinical trial of healthy subjects were given a green drink for 14 days (Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, 2008). Researchers found that “supplementation with a plant-based dietary product for at least seven days increases urinary pH, potentially increasing the alkalinity of the body.” Sixty-two percent of the participants significantly increased their urinary alkalinity.

During the last decade research has focused on the connection between an acidic diet and osteoporosis. Foods have been rated based on a potential renal acid load (PRAL) value. Those foods that can potentially contribute to the body’s net acid load have a high PRAL value. Foods that are more alkaline, including green food drinks, have a low PRAL value.

New research is also exploring the connection between an acidic diet and obesity, cardiovascular disease, and overall health.

When choosing a green drink, look for one that contains high-quality antioxidant ingredients that work synergistically to energize and alkalize the body.
