4 Tbsp (60 ml) high lignan flax seed oil
2 Tbsp (30 ml) nutritional yeast
2 Tbsp (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
In a salad dressing jar, mix all ingredients and shake well. Use on green salads, on grains or over steamed vegetables. Keeps refrigerated for two to three days.
Garlic contains compounds such as allyl sulphides that help ward off cancer-causing substances. It also fights bacteria and intestinal infections, and stimulates liver and gallbladder functions. Serves four.
