Most people worry about sun protection during the summer months
Most people worry about sun protection during the summer months. However, we have to be almost as careful of sun exposure during the fall and winter.
Harmful UV rays can penetrate through the hazy skies and clouds of fall and winter. Additionally, some medications and products such as medicated soaps and facial preparations, acne treatments, antihistamines, antidepressants, tranquilizers, antibiotics, diuretics, and anti-hypertension drugs can increase sensitivity to sunlight.
So even after beach season is over and baseball season is winding down, it's still important to avoid the midday sun, seek the shade, use sunscreen, wear clothing that covers and protects, and wear hats with brims of at least three inches.
