It was considered secured knowledge in nutritional science that the consumption of eggs directly related to heart attacks. A new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association banishes this once strictly enforced "no egg" dogma in nutrition consulting.
The study was conducted with 80,000 female North American nurses and another 35,000 male health professionals. It showed no correlation between egg consumption and coronary heart diseases and heart attacks. Even the consumption of more than one egg per day did not relate with a higher risk of the diseases.
