|
|
| I would like to start taking some health supplements and have been looking into the different types of products available. The biggest thing I"ve noticed so far is that a lot of products seem to be synthetic. Can anyone tell me if there's a big difference in how my body will digest a synthetic supplement compared to a whole food supplement? |

Sythetic products often are to my understanding just isolated micronutrients or combinations.
Whole-food supplements seem to be based on food. possibly they might Greens type supplements or that sort of thing.
If you want further information about what is best etc etc, you might be wise to try consumerlab.com as they have unbiased information about different supplements / manufacturers, so they might be able to have the kind of information about digestability etc etc you need. |

Thanks for the tip - I"ll have to give their site a try :)
I think you're right that synthetic products are isolated components - I'm just concerned about where this isolated component is actually sourced from? I've heard that synthetic vitamin c comes from genetically-modified corn and I wonder where other synthetic products are sourced from. Product labels are so tricky to read!? |
