|
|
I'm confused over what type of water bottles are safe and what type are unsafe.
We have nalgene water bottles and some plastic(not #7).
Is nalgene safe or should one use stainless steel or glass bottles. Where would one purchase a water bottle lined with plastic?
Thanks

| I have purchased stainless steel water bottles from Mountain Equipment Coop. Each bottle was under $10.00. The benefit of stainless steel ( and glass) is that toxins won`t be released from them like with plastic. Over time water bottles break down and release toxins. That won`t happen with stainless steel. |

As far as I know, the safest water bottles to use are glass or stainless steel. There are numerous articles on which #'s on the plastic bottles are
"safer" than others, but to be completely safe, it's best to avoid plastics whenever you can.
QUESTION: Does anyone know how long it takes the body to get rid of BPA's? I was trying to google it and didn't find an article that told me.
I want to limit my exposure to toxins before I get pregnant, and would like to know how quickly the body is capable of excreting BPA from its system |
