Hello Everyone. I am a newbie to the board, but am looking forward to reading everyone's input!

I am starting day 1 of ReCleanse's 7-day Herbal Cleanse and wondered who all has done it and is there anyone who is starting it as well?

Looking for anyone's stories!

I am at the end of my first week of ReCleanse. I tried it because I was suffering from bloating, various food allergies and really poor digestion (basically my stomach freaks out every time I eat something :( ) I chose ReCleanse because of the mild laxatives, and the fact that it had no garlic (garlic kills my stomach). I am not overweight to start, well maybe could lose 5lbs  .

ReCleanse comes with a meal plan and I tried to follow it as best I could, but I did have some chocolate lol (hey, it was easter). I faithfully drank the recommended 10 glasses of purified water every day.

The first day I felt nothing (except for sugar withdrawal). The second and third days I had headaches, irritability and some mild intestinal cramping. After that my bowels started to move the toxins out I felt great. My stomach literally deflated and is now nice and flat. I have lost 3lbs so far. I have much, much less heartburn and tummy distress when I eat (it may be also because I am eating much better due to the plan). I am so happy with the results that I bought a second kit and am planning to do a second consecutive week. I do plan on doing this every month!!

cheers

Well I'm hopefully not going to sound like a Kiljoy, because I'm happy you got something from this, but I'm not very keen on cleanses.

They can cause temporal weight loss, which comes back mostly. They often cost a lot, and involve strange Pills and liquids, or stupid methods where you eat no Protein for 2 days, then eat Chicken, Potatos and stuff like that, and there are other things people can do, to try and combat things like Bloating and Colonic issues.

A: Reduce intake of Casein Protein, usually from things like Milk or possibly Cottage Cheese.

B: Increase Fibre, or make Fibre intake good. Most people generally only need around 40-50g a day, but some might still be getting less, and things like a slight Fruit increase, and Fiberous Veggies, possible Whole-grains and Wholewheat Pasta could help..

C: Increase Water intake, (which you did). Heartburn is generally a side effect of Acid reflux, or Hydrochloric Stomach Acid passing back up the Oesophagus, so possibly the increased water diluted the Acid, and made it less acidic.

D: Take natural laxatives like Figs, Prunes, Senna etc etc.

E: Reduce Red Meat intake.

F: Take natural Pro or Pre-biotic Yoghurt, with things like Bifidus, and healthy Bacteria in them.

The meal plan probably worked, and compared to some cleanses I've read about, you probably did have one of the better ones, but I don't think I personally, will ever be completely in favour of any Cleanses at all, except possibly the old hose up the butt treatment  .

Which I've never had by the way, but does slightly intruige me.

I'm glad you are feeling better as a result, and ultimately, as long as you feel there was no detriment to yourself, like Metabolic problems, or muscle loss etc etc, that's the main thing :).

I don't suppose you'd be willing to share the plan, presuming it's not a state secret of the company?

Good luck to you :).

I'm on day 5 of this cleanse, and I have good things to say as well. In response to the "anti-cleanse" poster :), if you take a look at the meal plan, it pretty much encourages all of the things you've said! It is just a completely natural, healthy way of eating. More (good) fibre like quinoa, spelt, kamut, oats, etc., lots of fruits and veggies and some protein. it pretty much cuts out sugars, salt, preservatives and all the other things that we could all do without!

I like this cleanse because it's mild and natural - anything that isn't good for you all the time makes me question why people do it, but this one is OK to do repeatedly. Anyways, I recommend the product - it has already helped with bloating, digestion problems and I generally feel better!

I just started the Hollista Body CLeanse Detox Kit this morning ( due to the fact that I am always bloated and backedup)
It was NOT expensive at all, box here only cost me $21.99. Inside is the Detox pills and Milk Thistle. Speaking to the pharmacist she pretty much said in all cleansing kits its the same things ( ingredients) Just diff Brand Names so different prices.
My program is a 10 day cleansing eating vegs, fruits, brown rice, whole grain products, poultry , fish, egg, nuts etc.. so I won't be starving, it just asks you stay away from the reds, white flour etc..which basically people its not good for you anyway, so Great a good 10 days with a flush and good eating! Who knows maybe I will still follow this eating regiment afterwards.
I walk 4-5 times a week after dinner. I am a Veg fanatic anyway, so this will be a breeze, Just waiting to see what Side effects I will get.
ANyways goodluck to all, and will let ya'll know how I feel after 10 days:))

I just finished the Recleanse Herbal Cleanse and am not at all convinced it worked as promised. Sure, I lost weight, but just following the diet alone would do that.

Having done other cleanses, from the nasty to the gentle, this one doesn't even compare. The colon cleanse made both me and my girlfriend almost constipated and did not regulate anything.

I save my money next time and get something I know will work.

Ironically the Recleanse website has a "contact us" link, but it doesn't work.

Buyer beware!!!!

This cleanse did the opposite for me. I went up until day 5 following the diet plan and drinking copious amounts of water. The only working signs I saw were the adverse symptoms of headaches!
It honestly did nothing more than make me look/feel bloated rather than the claim on the box to feel "lighter".
I've tried other cleanses before and in comparison this one didn't compare. The only reason I started it was to try something a bit different.
I'm taking the remaining pills back for a refund!
Notice how there are no testimonials nor any indepth information on the ingredients on their website. It makes sense now; it seems like quite the gimmick!

-Definately would not recommend!

I'm on my 7th day of the ReCleanse and it's been the first and ONLY weight loss plan that has EVER worked for me! I'm not joking...I've tried alot! I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 10 pounds excatly since I started this a week ago!

It definitely wasn't easy for me not being able to eat all the food I was craving, and I wanted to quit after day 2. It wasn't until my grandma told me on day 3 that my face looked thinned out that got me motivated to continue!

The first few days I felt pretty tired and got headaches in the afternoon, but last few days I've just felt great! I'm getting use to eating smaller portions and because I'm drinking so much water I fill fuller faster!

I've stuck to the food guide perfectly and I'm SO happy I did it! I've noticed that my stomach and chest are smaller and this is the healthiest I've ever felt! I plan to continue eating healthier and lose more weight. I've told all my friends about this and I'll recommend it to anyone!!!

Just a cautionary note, to be aware of any possible weight rebound.

What you've lost is quite dramatic, not necessarily a good thing, and some of it may come back.

I'm not trying to bring you a downer, but it's wise to be aware of these things so it's not so hard to take if it happens.

Good luck.

I am on day four of this cleanse and feel great! I have the same stomach issues as you described and it has really helped with the symptoms. (Of course, the diet alone would have pretty much the same results)

This cleanse is inexpensive and comes with a reasonable meal plan. I would recommend it.

I just finished my cleanse yesterday and I used Herbal ReCleanse. My opinion was that the pills did not do a whole lot. I did lose 5 lbs exactly (5'5", 126 lbs to 121 lbs, which I haven't been in 2 years) and feel great, however the diet plan would have done that all by itself. I also did some light biking and jogging which I always do anyways. I stuck to the plan down to every serving and it was a lot easier than I thought. I had no adverse affects from the pills however I was bloated and constipated day 3. Other than that I was fine. My bowel movements were no different from normal which is unlike what I have heard from people on a different cleanse. Anyways I hope this helps. I wouldn't NOT suggest trying it because I still had great results. It at least gives you a week of healthy eating. Thanks for the previous messages! I read them before I began. Good Luck!

I'm on day 4 of the recleanse. I'm following it to the letter. I picked it because it's supposed to be mild. I only wanted to reduce my muffin top not loose weight but not only am I constipated which normally isn't an issue for me I have mild headache which I can live with and mild nausea which I can also live with but I have excrutiating sever muscle aches in my scapula region to the point I can't do anything and breathing deeply hurts my chest.
I guess I learnt a lesson and that is to always consult a physician before doing a cleane which is what I should have done. I'm taking the rest back for refund.
