i've already asked this question in the forum for children and parenting but receiving no answer i thought i'd try this forum and see. so my question was:
how does tv affects the eyes especially those of young children?
specialists seem to all agree that watching tv too close wont harm a child's eyes, they say it is just an old myth. i really want to know if that is really true. and i also wonder the same for computer screens for a kid to watch it and an adult too. i know about radiation but what about the eyes? |

I firmly believe that TV hurts our eyes:
- flickering screen is unnatural for our eyes to digest
- staring at it- focussed at a particular 2D image the same distance away for too long strains eyes
- distance can be too far or too near to strain the eyes
Think of all of the people you know who watch a lot of TV - how many have glasses? |
