Three years ago I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and was so ill, nobody thought I would live. The doctors didn't know what to do for me. I was in and out of hospital for three months, trying all kinds of medications, including steroids to cut the inflammation. This is the worst drug one can take. Not only did I blow up and have constant terrible heartburn, the worst part was how it affected my muscles. I couldn't stand long enough to cook my husband dinner, and I was constantly falling.

I was determined not to live the rest of my life like this. I read tons of books and decided to go on a plant sterol and sterolin program. I stayed on my meds while staring the plant sterols and sterolins and did this for three months. Then I actually started feeling better. I called my enterologist and demanded I go through all those awful tests again because I knew something good was happening inside my body. My doctor told me the picture of my intestines would never change with the disease - they could contain it but not cure it. Three days later, my doctor called me in. He said, "If you weren't my patient and I didn't know how sick you were, I would never believe it looking at your X-rays now."

Plant sterols and sterolins have literally given me my life back, and I am so grateful not to have to take any prescription drugs. I hope this letter can help someone else.

I have a girlfriend who has crohns, althought not to the extent as you did she has lived with it for over 10 years and still has flare ups. It is also hereditary for her mother has it and has had most of her instestine removed because of the disease) I myself am going to read up on the items you suggested to educate myself and maybe her. Thank you for posting!
