Free Herbal Clinic
If you have questions regarding your health, are wondering if you are taking the right supplements or are simply curious about Herbal Medicine, you are welcome to attend any of the following FREE Herbal Clinics for an initial consultation. Our student-run clinics are offered on the last Sunday of every month (excluding holidays) and consist of a FREE 30 minute consultation that includes a physical examination (if appropriate), dietary advise and a customized recommendation plan consisting of herbal therapies and/or supplements by a senior herbal medical student. A qualified clinic supervisor supervises all consultations. All recommended supplements, herbal remedies and additional appointments are subject to regular clinic fees. Coming to Ladner this fall... The lectures will take place at Cedar Park Church Ladner, BC. There is a suggested minimum donation of $5 at the door for each lecture, with all proceeds going to the Delta Hospice Society. Suzanne Murphy kicks off the lecture series at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, with “Living in Color.” Suzanne is a Color therapist. She has appeared on several TV shows including the Dini Petty Show, Vicky Gabereau Live. Omega-3 pioneer Dr. Udo Erasmus will speak on “The Plant Oil, Fish Oil Dilemma” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Known as the father of flax oil. On Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m., registered dietitian Vesanto Melina will speak on her “Prescription For Healthy Eating.” Vesanto is co-author of the Dietitians of Canada’s and the American Dietetic Association’s Position Paper on Vegetarian Diets.” The lecture series concludes on Wednesday, Oct. 8 with nutrition expert Brad King, who will speak on “The Truth About Male Menopause: For Men and the Women in their life.” The lectures are sponsored by Parsley, Sage and Thyme Health Store, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary.
