Vaccinations may be changing the genetic structure of humans. As early as the 1970s, scientists at the University of Geneva discovered that biological substances entering the bloodstream could become part of human genetic structure. Scientists believe that immunization programs against influenza, measles, mumps and polio, for example, insert genetic material from viruses that integrate into the DNA of host cells in the body. Over time, the immune system comes to recognize these cells as foreign material and produces antibodies against them, causing cancer and autoimmune conditions such as arthritis and multiple sclerosis.Leading Edge Research Group, 1998
